To actively respond to the call of President Xi Jinping, implement the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, promote global cooperation in future scientific and technological innovation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and foster new drivers of future scientific and technological development, and accelerate the understanding and research of future science and technology, the 2022 Global Future Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Conference, approved by the State Council, will be co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Association for Science and Technology, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, The People's Government of Beijing Municipality, World Intellectual Property Organization, and United Nations Industrial Development Organization on July 29th to 30th, 2022 in Beijing.     Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has extended his congratulations to the congress. With the approval of General Secretary Xi Jinping, Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the event. Notable attendees included Ghana’s Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonnen, Zhang Guihua, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Gerd Müller, and Assistant Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Marco Aleman, all of whom delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, presided over the opening ceremony. We strongly believe technology will make life better in the future. The conference will be dedicated to strengthening global cooperation in future science and technology innovation, jointly exploring the challenges and difficulties faced by global science and technology, and providing support for the better life of human society.
